| Sick Puppies – Howards Tale Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
It can't be about drugs. If it were about drugs then the woman is unnecessary in this story. It's an explanation of the background of a child abuser named Howard who was incidentally abused as a child himself. Hard to swallow, but it's an issue that must be dealt with. Why did Sick Puppies make this song? Was there a friend who was abused? Is it personal in any way? |

| Bullet for My Valentine – Fever Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I kinda thought it was about a prostitute but the stripper theory holds water. | |
| Sabaton – We Burn Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Have some respect, there was no such thing as a "Yugoslavian civil war". Croatia existed as a country of it's own since the 7th century and Yugoslavia was nothing else than a pact between Croatia and Serbia. The war broke when Croatia decided to terminate the pact, to which Serbia responded by starting the war. It's a homeland war. |

| Raintime – Rainbringer Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Yeah it does seem like it's referring to a lover that deceived him. | |
| Whitesnake – Slide It In Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| What lovely imagery. | |
| Beyoncé – Ego (feat. Kanye West) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| She's talking about his dick. You're a retard, thank you. | |
| Sum 41 – Speak of the Devil Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| You can't be serious. Those 3 songs you just mentioned were performed by their "alter-ego" band, which is heavy metal by nature. And they made those crude songs for fun. It's comedy value. You can't take those names seriously. | |
| Sum 41 – Speak of the Devil Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Definitely, not definately. And you're WRONG by many fans' standards, but you're entitled to your opinion so I'll stop there. | |
| Helloween – Sole Survivor Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
My guess is it's about a soldier that's in the war but it's not his choice. He's just a puppet there, serving a higher power. It can also be a reflection on communism in warfare. Who stole my aims? My comrade fighters Been sent astray How could I know What others had in mind for me? He was used as a slave to fight for their (corrupt goals) yet he doesn't know what the fuck he can do, nor do his "comrades" or brethren. |

| Iron Maiden – The Trooper Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Ok it's obvious WHAT's it about. Now can someone follow me up on the subject if there's a deeper meaning to the song? I mean the WHY behind the lyrics. We all know Bruce likes to read but was there some other incentive that made him make this into a song? Fairness of the battle, reasons behind the war, etc. |

| Gardenian – Sonic Death Monkey Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Seems to be about genetic alteration. Maybe making everything artificial. Nobody is who they want to be, the big domineering companies decide how we all live our lives. We're just puppets and we have no say in modern world's decisions. I have no idea how he came up with "sonic death monkey" :D but I agree with lookingfordolving it's the best name ever. Maybe it's a pun of himself being a monkey or a puppet in their hands, and simply making music that states their evil plan, yet nobody notices him, or takes him seriously. | |
| Rhapsody of Fire – The Bloody Rage Of The Titans Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
If you pay close attention to the wordplay you can notice this song is about woman's menstruating cycle. Bloody Rage of the Titans - self explanatory Between my trees the unicorn runs from the highest mountains the water falls - pretty much the same and when he's referring to the demons and dragons he's actually addressing every man alive - beware of "the woman" when it's "that time of the month". It seems so strongly unreal... unreal! - in a way refers to the fact that women are so gentle and beautiful, and how they change into growling beasts fueled by hormones for a brief period in a months time. |

| Iron Maiden – Sign of the Cross Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Oh forgot to add: Sign of the cross? Maybe double-cross? If he did cheat his wife? ^^ |

| Iron Maiden – Sign of the Cross Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Very nice observation pyreweb, you may be on to something there, if anything it was a fun read. I can't go into such lengths as to say if you're wrong or right, none of us can, but nice try tho. :P | |
| Iron Maiden – Hallowed Be Thy Name Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| When he says "soul" it doesn't necessary mean the spirit in a religious sense, or any paranormal. It's referring to "him" as the one who'll know. It's a great song and through the eyes of a man on death row it's showing us that we can never know if there's a God or not, but we'll only find out when we die. I apologize if I'm lacking sense in these sentences, I'm listening to the track at the moment, and I'm still buzzed since the concert a few days ago. | |
| Iron Maiden – Hallowed Be Thy Name Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Torlek I do believe you're wrong. It's all summed up in this verse: Mark my words please believe my soul lives on Please don't worry now that I have gone I've gone beyond to see the truth The man is aware his life is about to end, and he can finally know the truth, 'cause when he dies he will know for sure whether there is a heaven (or hell) or not. The circumstances forced him to confront the topic, since he didn't have the need to think about death 'til now. Ironically in death he'll fill the greatest void in his life, ignorance. |

| Into Eternity – Cyber Messiah Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
It's pretty obvious, man has become a servant of his tool. The internet is our new god. I'm quite sure it's in no way related to religion, it's just a comparison. |
