| This song is clearly about the difficulties of relationships and divorce. | |

| It seems obvious to me that this song is about pill addiction and the pills prescribed becoming more and more addictive to the point where he can no longer control it.. I may be wrong. | |

To me the lyrics seem to be talking about a bad relationship that ended with suicide. The first two verses are talking about the relationship, the second two sound like suicide. "And on the hills that held our childhood the flowers grow there still You lay beneath them pushing weeds and I guess you always will" Pushing flowers up means dead/burried in the ground.. "weeds" used in this case seems to say he's angry about it. "And ever since you epitaph was spattered on my wall No-one comes to call They can't stand the stench" |

| Two Gallants – Ribbons 'round My Tongue Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This is a beautiful song. It's along the lines of most of their songs, insecurities.. About a girl that treats him badly that he loves and feels he doesn't deserve, and hates her for it.. He won't break it off himself, but will get over it when it's done.. Just to move on to the next girl that will do the same thing. | |

The fourth verse starts with "Sweet sweet devil", not elvo. Aside from that, amazing song for how simple it is. |

Eatcarpet is uneducated. Lyrical error, I believe: "I went to it's surface and sentenced for murdering instruments" Should be: "I went to it servin a sentence for murdering instruments" |
