| this is just more fabulous MCR sarcasm. If it is about a heavier subject (like death, dying, general existentialism) its really well toned down. Thats the great thing about them- as they've gone on they've just gotten more and more subtle. Its still kind depressing when you think about it, but its not as slit-your-wrists as it used to be. Its almost a satirical kind of emo. | |

Alright, so i have listened to this song about a million times and i think I can conclusively say like many songs on Three Cheers it does not refer to a specific incident but instead kind of tells a story. (thats right, keep trying to figure out "You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison...") I think its about a WASP relationship, like a trophy wife (Got nasty blisters from the money she spends. She got a life of her own and it shows by the Benz she drives at 90 by the Barbies and Kens.) and a gay guy (hes not around he's always looking at men) who married for money and connections. It would explain why the verses are so different, and why the two "characters" (the bride and groom) are so troubled. If anything, it seems like they kill each other (or themselves) in the end. Thats just my interpretation |
