I think this song is about how a relationship is finnally getting some closure and the girl is finnally ready to move on. "Paybacks such a waste" is basically saying, I'm tired of all the drama so I'm not even going to get back at you for what you did to me. "One day You will wake up With nothing but “you’re sorrys” And someday You will get back Everything you gave me " This line really relates to me. It's like saying, one day the guy will realize what a good thing he lost and try to fix it but what goes around comes around and "you'll get back" all the pain you gave me. |

To me this is about a situation where maybe the two people hooked up or something and someone got attached and the other didn't and it ended. To me it sounds like to two people who are always attracted to each other. "We believe every lie and say we'll be friends" but act like they are friends when really they could be more. "Before we scratch all the scripts and we rework the cast?" reminds me of like a remake of a movie. Sorta like the two people are wondering when they will get affectionate again. |
