| The Number Twelve Looks Like You – Sleeping With The Fishes, See? Lyrics

this song is clearly about environmentalism. which is rare considering that the number twelve don't usually write political lyrics, although they are political in life(they've stated that they support obama, they don't usually write about it. the most clear example is "the bees need to stay busy, butterfly wings need to keep flowers in motion, the trail needs to stay warm, so you stay away from their home" also "you and everyone like you are selfish destroyers" and "i want to conserve, i want to protect, i want to defend, we have to preserve"
and the part where they say "take my picture i want to have proof of this history" implying that the environment wont last if nothing is done and jase wants a photo for history (how can i help, before this will end), once again commenting on the frailty of the environment. |

| Every Time I Die – Ebolarama Lyrics

as far as what joshtheband was saying about a song dedicated to underoath: on tour, most notably a show on the warped tour, bands will dedicate the song they are about to play to a band they are friends with. surprisingly enough, every time i die(fucking brutal) and underoath(christian) have all said that they are really good friends with the other band. it shocks me with every time i die being huge alcoholics and having quite vulgar lyrics(and lives in general if you ever meet them or see one of their dvds.), and underoath being so christian. but they are really good friends. i was at the warped tour wednesday and norma jean dedicated a song to against me! who had just finished playing, and say anything dedicated a song to motion city soundtrack. evergreen terrace played right before every time i die, and their last song was their cover of mad world, which they dedicated to every time i die. but i digress, the point being that they've never written a song for underoath, just dedicated the performance of one. ive seen this happen countless times at various shows, but the 6 times ive been to warped tour have had the most occurrences, cause there are so many bands there and they are undoubtedly going to have friends there touring also. |
