Gosh, what to say about this song. It intertwines words and emotions into a perfect message. Finally, I hear a song that fits my present mood and struggle. It is such a powerful relief. To me, this song is about coming to terms with the inevitable. Inevitably old souls will return to their grave. The young and ambitious are likely to jump ahead of the game and feel challenged in the midst of those who have experience and wisdom on their side. The speaker of the song realizes he is in denial and simply cannot accept what is inevitably so. He feels a void and a hole and won't allow himself to move past the girl who holds his heart. He harps on his hopes that things will return to bliss once again. Time seems to move at such a slow pace because every is just a little bit longer without her by his side. This song is heartbreaking but real and powerful. I can't stop listening to it. |
