| The whole song is powerful and emotional, even at the quieter verses. When he sings "You take the breath right out of me" I feel like I've been blown away. I love this song so much. I think it's about a guy who loves a girl, but she doesn't notice him and in his efforts to win her over, he becomes a colder person. | |

I love this song so much. Nobody else has put anything of the sort, but it really reminds me of a guy who has done something wrong or is in a really bad situation or is a wanted criminal or something similar and there's a girl who he loves, and she loves him too, but she loves him too much to leave him and he thinks she should go and not be affiliated with him in any way so she won't get as screwed up as him or get hurt. Cold am I I'm beside myself because there's no one else Have I grown so blind? Only God could save you if you knew your way to the light He's basically saying that he made a huge mistake being with this girl and that she could stay as she is if she leaves him. So fly away and leave it behind Just stay awake There's nowhere to hide He wants her to cut off all her connections to him and be alert of any other troubles. I see you cause you won't get out of my way I hear you cause you wont quit screaming my name I feel you cause you won't stop touching my skin I need you, they're coming to take you away He loves her so much and she refuses to go but "They" are the bad things about him that could infect her. Frail and dry I could lose it all but I cannot recall it's all wrong Don't cry, clear away this hate and we can start to make it alright He could be done for at any moment, and he doesn't want her to pity or sympathize with him, and he thinks the first thing she could do to improve the situation is to go.
