(i think) he is coping with a relationship that he jumped into too quickly...he's writing this and discussing all the different ways he's tried to get over this girl, eg drinking (the bottle), fighting (the fist), and he is just looking back at the relationship...i guess he jumped in too quickly and she ate his lunch. he says it's a shame i don't think they'll notice, meaning that everyone else knew that their relationship sucked, and the only reason he didn't realize is because he didn't want to, eg his campaigns of distraction and revising their history. "this is what living like this does" and "this is why we were taught so much better than this" is like saying lookit what you did to me, but i'm still not going to give up on you. very enrapturing song. |

even though its about some goof tour bus thing, i'd like to think that hes talking to some girl who's really good at getting to the root of him and cuts through his facades like a steely katana. and he likes it. bc that's how it sounded to me cause some chick was doing that to me, and under her knife everyone's anemic, but she was cool about it. |
