Actually, I think those are all just rumors. I'd like to see your sources. They might be acquainted with him. I don't know though. :P Anyway, no, I do not believe Jared Leto is in the song at all. I don't hear him. And he isn't credited anywhere with doing anything for this album. I checked the album booklet. Hero of the Day's interpretation really interests me, and now I want to read the Dune series. |

This song definitely alludes to the events that supposedly happened at Roswell. However, I don't think that's what this song is about exclusively. It's not just about an alien abduction. I believe it's about wanting to know the truth. Did anybody really see anything? Or was it just a hoax? Or was it just reformed to look like a hoax? Maybe it's a song about wanting the truth from the government. Or maybe just the truth in general. "Burning out inside with a need to know." |

Rejection. Intolerance of anyone who is different or has different ideals. And people forcing their ideals on you. And all you want to do is preserve yourself. Because you know in your heart that you have done nothing wrong. You know you should feel content with yourself. But others come into your way, and try to change your very being. That's what I feel this song is about. Especially from living in a small town, probably. Just think of it and apply these ideas to the song. [Heaven is on the way, you could feel the hate but I guess you never will I'm on a roll again, and I want an end cause I feel you creeping in] Because of the use of the word heaven, I personally linked it to religious standpoints, where many things collide and refute themselves. There is confusion, and there is hate, and you want to believe, but you can't bring yourself towards submission. It's not you. You aren't the one that is wrong. And they shouldn't be trying to change you. And it gets to the point were you just want to escape the mess, both physically and symbolically. I'm heading for a breakdown] Moving into a new environment can bring looks your way from people that see you as different. And you may only find hurt and rejection from your surroundings. And all he wants is to be accepted. He doesn't want to change for anyone. He doesn't want to fit in. He just wants acceptance. But music, especially great music, finds a place in a person's heart, and you feel so strongly related to it. It becomes a puzzle piece, and it too can warm you, and accompany you. Great music finds different, vivid meanings in different people. And vise-versa. |
