Villarre, I stopped reading your post at "suicide silence sounds a lot like job for a cowboy" anyway, I actually don't think carnifex sounds like suicide silence, but Scott(the vocalist) definately jocks on mitch like a little bitch, he copies mitch's stage performance and everything. I don't even listen to SS anymore, but they are still way better than this shitty deathcore attempt. |

wow KOTA fucking blows now, their live show is horrible without their deathcore style. and mike's voice is horrible compared to how it used to be back in the oldschool days. I'm not into deathcore that much, but you can't even dance at their shows now, and their songs don't come off as strong as before. |

it seems to me like it's about repetition, it's a story about a lowdown guy, always broke, but he was musically talented, stopping one relationship to go to another, then ending that relationship to move on to another, he lies saying it's love, but the girls are always so naive they believe him, but he did care about them, hence the line "Cause he knows if he hangs out for a few hours He'll dig another hole tryin to plant some new flowers" and now all these women/girls just watch from the crowd, trying to keep some sort of connection with him, even though they know it'll never happen. |

"this is a really weak single, from a really weak album. Im disapointed. " are you serious?, yeah it may be different, but this album comes off really strong to me, it shows that they can pull off different styles, and Slugs lyrics are just as strong. |

I think this song can be about multiple things, a past relationship, a really good friend you lost touch with and of course family members that you no longer have around. Obviously we wouldn't know for sure, and slug probably twisted the song around for exactly that reason. I don't know, but the emotion this song has and and brings out in me is ridiculous. |

okay, I'm gonna give a shot at analyzing this haha. -For your futures sake, I’ve got advice I’d advise you to take Don’t keep betting, “well, its gotta light me up sometime”- this immediately brings up religion, to me it says "stop living your life on something that isn't guaranteed, and hoping that it'll be proven true someday" I can't seem to grasp the meaning of "you/you've lost your turn" but it still has a huge impact on the song for some reason. -“All I wanted to be was one of your children” See how clean the water is where you are, wash off your handcuffs And know the hidden messages you hear, they aren’t real. You tricked your mind to feel.- To me this says, christians make everything seem so clean and simple, but the price you pay is your freedom to think, the ability to really open your eyes. anthony's practically saying break away from the chains and take a walk in the dirty water (a.k.a the real world) so you can really understand whats going on around you, and savor life, instead of believing you have an eternity in heaven, and wasting the short time you have here. -“All I wanted to be was one of your children” Are we even now? We are unrelated If blood is thicker than water Then you’ll drown quicker than we intended, And you’ll know where you can find us in the end So we can begin again. - I'm really not sure about this last bit, it could be relating to how christians believe God is the "almighty father" and therefore, by their beliefs, we are all somewhat related, and Anthony simply could be rejecting the idea by saying we are unrelated, that we are our own person, and no higher being consitutes how we live our life, but I really can't get the whole "if blood is thicker than water....." bit. agree/disagree? |
