i dig TehGreatMutato and bladz opinions. i completely agree with both of you. not only is this song indeed really prettty. but i can relate. i love the feeling of going outside in the summer after it has just finished raining. completely and utterly serene in my opinion escpecially on a lake, or like down the shore on the beach after a storm. just compared to what it just was is a breath of fresh air. i imagine like a hot sunny pavement after a summer rain shower and how it steams. thats the best. |

i think this is about a girl who wanted to be something big and special. kinda like dylan's Like a Rolling Stone if u ask me.. but when she fails miserably, he doesnt really give a shitt because she did it to herself by thinking she was above everyone to begin with. ex: rockabye baby rock a bye bitch ( which is a coool ass line) but yeah i think the girl kind of got what was coming to her even though she might have been a bad person in his opinion... just someone with a dream i guess. thats my take. |

i know u garden state haters dont wanna hear this but, i its so perfect for thst scene. the dudes like all depressed and all. but he meets this girl who brings him back. this songs about like a negative outlook, but a possibility of redemption in a way. I think the movie only adds to the song. the shins are the bomb. thats my take. |
