I think it is about having the perfect summer just inside your head, doing whatever you want and nothing matters. 'If things get real promise to take me somewhere else,' As soon as things get too real take me somewhere I can be in my own head again. That's what I think :) |

I think it is about a girl and that she can take advantage of him and he will do anything for her. Like, Anything. And she knows it but she doesn't care about his feelings and she'll just use it. I think he used a jukebox as the metaphor because as a musician a metaphor about music would be the easiest to use because you relate to it. |

| Bright Eyes – Bowl of Oranges Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I Personally Think This Song Is About Everything That's Good In Life, Everything He Looks At He Looks In A Positive Way, But In The Last Few Lines "But if the world could remain within a frame Like a painting on a wall Then I think we'd see the beauty then And stand staring in awe At our still lives posed Like a bowl of oranges" I Think That Reverses The Whole Song. It Makes You See That The World Isn't What He Describes It As, He's Just Looking At It Through The Song In The Way A Painting Is Structured, It Shows Only One Side And Doesn't Show The Bad Points... If That Makes ANY Sense To Anyone Except Me :) |
