"Under the rose" is a term in Latin(sub rosa)that means confidentially, and was often used in the olden days when referring to something you wanted to say to someone that was in confidentiality.

Great Song only two posts? wow. powerful i was at first wondering what the lines
"I’ve lost a war

Wasted a life" meant, but i realized that is could mean himself not that he killed someone else. in this song he seems to be lost and wanting someone to help him ti "open his eyes" to the mistakes he is making. |

this song means so much to me i cant even begin to explain how. This song is about someone who has been searching for something all their lives but never knowing exactly what their searching for, but they know its coming they can feel it, its so close that it could be tomorrow. all the time that they have been searching they have kept it a secret and feel sometimes like they are out of touch with reality. because they themselves can't explain what they have been searching and waiting for all there life. they feel lost and cant explain the emotions that they feel they just want someone to help them to feel there emotions and to understand them. so they continue to wait. |

Hmmm very very inturesting song. great song by the Rasmus once again. this song is very puzzeling first of all it is very inturesting that this song is about hiding from the sun, wich the sun is usualy refered to as happiness and joy warmth ect. but in this case the song is written showing the sun in a new light ^.^ as something to stay away from to "hide from". now hiding from the sun? no "the day reveals the dreadful betrayal, and its wiked mind" so its not only the day or the light that he wants to hide from, it is also this "betrayal" betrayal of what? well he mentions befre this that "i should have find the one and hide from the sun". the "one" hmm now whome is he refering to well the sun as he sees it as something that hurts him "cuts like a razor" well could this "one" have been someone that would come with him to hide from the sun. and maybe "betrayal" was made by someone else who wont go out of the sun with him. that starts another question what is exactly the sun? is it a metaphore for something? well he says that he is "afraid to look back into the heartless, world of dust and blood" he also describes himself as a rat running from the sun, so he says he is a coward because he is afraid and rats also represent cowards, so the sun seemes to represent the world full of blood hate heartlessness ect. things that he cant deal with things that hurt him, but he wants to find "the one" or someone else that feels the same way and can go away from the world with him. Now something that is realy puzziling to me is the lines "Dead promises Raining from the world so cold Ancient prophecies Remain from the world so cold " well dead promises happen all the time in real life thats just part of life, but ancient proficies what proficies are he refering to? that i do not know but apparantly "the time has come, hide from the sun". well thats just my crazy mumbelings about stuff anyways hope it helped somehow. |

this song strikes me as a story of someone who is in love with someonen but that person doesnt love them back " i just wana know that you wana know" could be saying that he just wants yo know if she feels the same way. "one heart refuse to beat, one love is incomplete." basicly she doesnt love him back her heart doesnt beat for him. he just wants to drown in his sorrow because she doesnt love him and his heart is miserable. another awsome song by the Rasmus. |

i see alot of what you are saying Gianaryn, i see that this is about a beautiful girl who because of her beauty is shunned but she kept the hurt inside of her hidden behind her face. until she just had to get away, so she is seeking someplace were she will be accepted but the singer is saying that only beyond this world will you be accepted so you need to fly away. maybe is sugjestive of commiting suicide also when it says "never live, you never died" it is saying that you were never truly alowed to live because of lifes prejudices so killing yourself wont realy mean that you will die since you never got to live. anyways thats just what im getting pritty sad song it speeks to me. |

i have a few questions for everyone to muse over. first of all in this song, he says "before live tears us apart", "this live aint worth living" he repetedly uses live instead of life wich is proper english. why? what does that mean i dont think that it was by accident but a purposeful change. also in this music video something struck me as odd maybe im clueless but i noticed a symbul besides the heartogram in this video it was a circle with a line with two horizontal lines going through it. and it was above the red liquid in the bottle. also i saw the same symbol when vile was sitting in a ice chair to his right there was a red bottle in the same shape as the symbol i described and to his left there was a taller bottle that was clear at least it looked like it was, and above him was the heartogram. also when it was showing a close up on ville sitting in his chair the camera pans to the left to include the red symbol. so what is he trying to say if anything and what is this symbol? |
