There is one part that convinces me this is again about his wife. "don't worry about it, i heard what you said and it's good, and i appreciate it more than any other man ever could. i believe you, anyways. i believe you, any day. when i told you i loved you god dammit i meant it. when i told you i loved you, good jesus, i meant it" Obviously he has this enormous grief on his chest from what happened, but he can't stop loving his wife. He meant everything he told her, and love doesn't just die. When you really love someone you can't stop loving them even if you hate them. So his wife said sorry, and he believes her and appreciates everything she's doing after she got caught. Not that she wants to be with him again, but she is sorry. Everything else, like about the firecracker legs, that could just be him viewing her in a different way. Haven't you found something out about someone, and afterwards had a different opinion about them? I think this is the case here. And about dieing, who knows? Some people say break ups have the same sadness intensity as losing a loved one, so maybe he's making allusions to that. |

The Bitter End, which is the album this song is on, is entirely about him dealing with the discovery of his wife cheating on him with his own brother. Every song on here is about that, literally every song. I am assuming that the album took months to record, and each song is a recording of his progress of either getting over her, or just dealing with everything. In this song, he's had time to let everything sink in and despite his pain, he loves her, he misses his wife. He will forget the past if she just says she needs him too. He still wants her because he is still in love with her. The problem is that she doesn't want him, so he's willing to change himself and forget everything just to be with her. You have to keep in mind, they had kids too, and his wife had sex with his own brother. You can not imagine the heartbreak. |

| the guy is in love with this woman who he's so far away from & they can only have an electronic relationship because of their distance. "And I will love you in reality and dreams" the reality means his love is legit, but the dreams part means he dreams about kissing and loving this woman. however, he knows that their relationship most likely won't last BECAUSE of the distance, and when they are through, she will find someone who can kiss her and hold her and love her the way that he can't. she will find a guy to be there for her physically as well as emotionally. despite the demise of their relationship and her moving on, he still will love her forever. "it kills him to know" that she will move on, and i take it as he will die of a broken heart, or the loss is killing him, or he kills himself. "there will always be a man underground who loves you." this is kind of plainly writen that he's dead, and he died loving her, so he will eternally love her. this song is so riddled with desire and loss it's ridiculous. i guess that's why im in love with this song, because i am in the same exact boat. | |

actually, this song is telling you that you can hide nothing from god. you should keep your good deeds secret & confess your bad deeds to eachother. the cat story his mom used to tell him. the cats would close their eyes & sneak to the bowl of milk & they though that the world went away when they closed their eyes & since no one saw them, they thought they were getting away with it. but aaron weiss is telling you that you can't hide anything from god, so who are you fooling? no one. there's an interview of him explaining the cat story & everything else about this song on youtube, i suggest you check it out! :] |

actually, aaron weiss was walking outside & he saw a brown spider on a brown leaf & i originally wrote all 3 of the spider songs (yellow orange & brown) into one & then a friend of his told him to cut them up & make it into 3 different songs & aaron listened because he felt it made the album more "whole." but you know, aaron weiss is a hxc christian & whatever he writes is going to have something to do with his faith, so there's obviously some of that in there. and also with the girl or whatever, he said that he had a girlfriend but he dumped her because he listened to this song, and he realized that he couldn't make her happy & she couldn't make him happy. but then he got back together with her & she dumped him so that she could have the final say. but he said that the only person than can make him truly happy is his creator & his creator makes him happier than any woman ever could & even more than his band. true story, just youtube his name. |

anyone who know's anything about aaron weiss knows that he's a very big christian, but he's genuine. everything he writes, he either takes from things around him or little lessons from the bible. in this song, he's basically saying that whatever harm you intend to inflict upon others, it will just hurt you, and not them. by harm i mean anything negative.
