Brian Posehn – Metal By Numbers Lyrics 17 years ago
hell yeah, love this song. it basically says how it reads. that basically all music nowadays sucks compared to what was around "back then" but all the mainstream, rap, pop, and whatever else sucks eggs compared to metal. he explains the different parts that are usually associated with the genre and then goes on to say that compared to anything on the radio, metal kicks ass.

Black Sabbath – Planet Caravan Lyrics 17 years ago
this is not about space travellers, unless you're talking about everyone in the world, it's about the earth travelling through space, time, and the universe itself. the last verses represent times of peace and war and how versitile man can be, he can either love everything in sight or want to destroy everything around him. good stoner song, i must agree, it could also be about how great the world looks when you're high lol.

Pink Floyd – Brain Damage Lyrics 17 years ago
this has been said before, but i agree that the meanings are up to the listener. i have heard some great ideas of what this song means, but in my opinion, pink floyd wanted their listeners to use their minds so they put out songs that were complex and could have many different meanings to many different people. they were geniuses when it came to mental exploration and wanted to share complex thought with the fans. to me, this song is saying that society itself is the insane one, telling people to abide by rules as simple and stupid as keep off the grass. when we are younger we tend to not notice things such as this and we follow "the path" our whole lives. when the dam breaks, it is a realization of certain truths that surround us like how we are basically like caged animals in society. the head exploding represents all the things you know that nobody wants to hear or acknowledge. raising the blade and making the change are the ignorant people who get you to believe that individuality is wrong and you can't do everything that you would like to because society doesn't agree with it, you become "sane", you become like everyone else, society views the different people as the "insane". the cloud bursting is when you can't take it anymore and you really do start going insane but "when you shout and noone seems to hear" is when you seem fine to everyone else but in your head you know that you are no longer yourself. the band that plays different tunes are the people that don't want to do what they are told and that live by rules other than that of society. to me, the dark side of the moon is a deep mental state in which you are unsure of alot of things yet you understand what is going on and what you should do, it can't really be explained in words, it is more like an emotion than anything else. that's just my opinion though, there are many other good one out there as well.
