Funny how people can always find a drug reference in a song if they really look hard enough but do not see the references to love and relationships that should be hitting them on the nose. Its not cool kids! JUST SAY NO! ANYWAY. Love this song but it is one of those that I hear but don't really listen too anymore (too familiar etc). It was played on the radio the other day and for some reason it was like hearing it for the first time fantastic! For me it is about a sacred bond of love between parent & child. Your time has come to shine/grow-up but I will always be here for you. |

I love the song. I hear it as more like declaration of love, will you marry me or can't live without you type sentiment. Those three words are not enough & I need your grace, are killer lines for me. |

Personally I don't get to hung up on the hebrew/God reference. I think its about the brilliance and hardship of life and choosing the right path by trying to be a better person. I listened to this a lot while we were expecting our first baby and it helped me a lot, thanks U2! |
