could even be about religion again arguably. i think there's quite a bit about religion in Unearth's subtext, but could be just me. just 'loss of the faithful' reminds me of people turing away from organised religion after they realise how corrupt it can be...

I agree with the comment above, but i think it's wider than that. 'We're all running away' suggests a whole group of people- perhaps people who hang around, drink too much, do too many drugs, but never really do anything else. They go to parties, kid themselves there's nothing else in life, but after the 'glow' of midnight, in 'morning's gloom' they realise they're all dreaming about running away.

Essentially then, yeah, it's an anthem to making the most of life and not to falling into the same old routines. Not that partying isn't great, just that any kind of repetitive routine will make you feel empty in the end. It's not a positive song, but there's hope shining through it.

Unearth – This Time Was Mine Lyrics 17 years ago
anyone else feel a bit of Jesus in this song?
like the 'black sheep- the rebel son that clashed with authority'. And the fact that few will 'see this through to the end', like in the story of the crucifixion, where Simon Peter will not acknowledge Jesus three times.

I'm no religious nut, and I'm sure this isn't a correct interpretation. But it's one thing you could read into the song :) It's good when you can read a song in more than one different way
