Wow, no comments? D: I'm guessing I'm off or wrong or something, since I'm usually no good at guessing what songs are about. But since there are no comments on here I thought I'd like to put my opinion up for a change. This one seems pretty obvious though, so that's why I'm gonna go ahead and take a chance, and actually post what I think it means. I think this song is about him being in a long distance relationship and is being told not to. Depressing. D: I think that maybe these lines: "Long distance never works. You're making a mistake. Cut your losses and say goodbye, remove the stake." and "Long distance never works. You're making a mistake. So say goodbye." May be quotes from people he knows, telling him to break up with whoever he's with. o_o And he's not going to because those people don't know their love. "They don't know our love." x3 |

Very self explanatory. He even has the story on his myspace. "I wrote "Great Romances of the Afterlife" as a poem to start off with. The poem was about the love between two people that were separated by death. After the boy died he was sent to heaven, which was supposed to be the happiest place you can ever be...but he was miserable. He stood upon the clouds with his eyes fixed on the love of his life. With a heart full of sorrow, he stood alone. Unable to touch her, unable to feel the softness of her lips against his own. He then decided to make a deal with God. God agreed to release him from heaven and send him through the gates of hell for all eternity, just to relive one kiss from his only love. God said, "Jump down and be with your love, you will remember the passion you once shared, then you will be sent to hell". With no regret in his heart, the boy jumped from the clouds only to learn that his lover's life had been taken from her. He realized that he was falling to hell for nothing when suddenly he was lifted back to the heavens, by non other than the love of his life. The most beautiful angel in all of heaven." |
