Sponge – Molly Lyrics 16 years ago
She loves him. He wishes he loved her. They've wasted 16 years with each other.
I've been rocking out to this song for 15 years now. I fianlly just read the lyrics. Better late than never, I guess.

Dave Matthews Band – One Sweet World Lyrics 16 years ago
I'm a middle school science teacher, and every year, on the last day of class, I have my "official tree hugging hippy lesson". I have an undergraduate degree in environmental studies, so I feel the need to include something environmental each year. I alway start the lesson with this song. The kids listen to it. They read the words and then I have them interpret it. It's pretty cool to watch a bunch of 13 year olds suddenly realize that song lyrics have meaning. And, they always "get it". I also end up with a few new Dave fans by the end of the day too.

Anna Nalick – Breathe (2 A.M.) Lyrics 17 years ago
This song came out right around the time that I broke up with an alcoholic guy in the military. The verse about the guy who "ain't been sober since maybe October of last year" always made me so angry.
It made me think of my "latest mistake" of wasting years of my life and thousands of my dollars on him. But, over the past couple of years, I've gotten over it and moved on with my life.
And, I think that's what she's getting at. We all make mistakes, we all screw up, we all have regrets. But, we all can get through it if we just keep plugging away. Eventually, if you continue to go through the motions of being alive, you'll start living again.

Train – Meet Virginia Lyrics 17 years ago
On my 21st birthday, many years ago, my then boyfriend had every bar play this song for me. At the time, I thought "Well, this isn't really a good birthday song." But, today, as I read some of your posts, I realized how perfect this song was for our relationship.
He never really knew me. He thought he did. Yes, I'm quirky. I'm a perfectionist who will never be perfect.
I ran into that boyfried (now an ex of many years) a couple of years ago. The jukebox at the bar played this song and then Anna Begins by counting crows. I told him that I couldn't hear this song withouth thinking about him. Whe Anna Begins came on, he said he couldn't hear that song without thinking about ME. Oddly enough, those two songs describe the rocky relationship that we have had for the past seven years PERFECTLY. Of course, it wasn't until five years after we broke up that either of us realized it.
