I think this song is about Amy being with another man, but hes constantly haunted because he'll never be Blake. The man shes with feels like he can never match up to who Blake is and his signifigance to Amy because he knows she's completely in love with Blake and will never love him the way she loves Blake. Basically he's feeling as though it's a lost cause trying to make this work but doesn't want to leave. "Now, how can he have a heart? When it got stole So he tries to pacify her, for what's inside her never dies" To me it means, how can he try and make her fall for him when her heart belongs to Blake, he tries to make her see how he could love her just as much if not more, but nothing get's through to her because the passion and love she has for Blake will never die. "Searches the man she misses, the man that he longs to be" Backing up my thoughts on how he'll never be Blake. He wants so badly to be like Blake but no matter what he does she'll never fall for him because she belongs to Blake. |
