| The Beatles – I Am the Walrus Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Ah, it's about time I visit this song, I've been putting it off awhile now. My namesake, indeed. As I have mentioned in several other cases in other songs, it's ridiculous for anyone to assume they know the meaning of certain random or 'deep' lyrics. People need to stop trying to overanaylyze music, and just accept it for what it is. Instead of trying to rip eachother apart, arguing over who's right about what the artist meant, join together in admiration of them. I'm pretty sure John Lennon would be pretty ticked to find his fans arguing over his lyrics. Whether or not he was trying to say something by this, if he wanted you to truly know what it meant, they probably would have released a book explaining it as well. Maybe we all need to just take a step back, and 'Let it Be'. Get it? Play on words..it's another Beatles song..Ha. I am just riotously funny. |

| Bright Eyes – Four Winds Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Polecat is absolutely right. Sometimes you just need to accept things in the most simplest nature. Most people, when writing songs don't actually think too deeply into it. They may use obscure references and such, but the references are obscure for a reason. They're special to the artist, and they mean something to them. And you self-righteous fools blithering over who is right about what it's from are just wasting your time when you could be joining together in the love of the music, instead of what you think it meant. So why don't you just take it as it is, as Bright Eyes meant it, and stop trying to read too deeply into it. |

| Ludo – Love Me Dead Lyrics | 17 years ago |

As overplayed as this song is doomed to get, as with most good songs, it is quite delightful. It's got a catchy, friendly air, with dark and hateful lyrics. It's one I can see myself enjoying for awhile, perhaps even after the masses catch wind of itl as with most song that contain lyrics so easily etched into desks and notebooks. [And yes, my screenname is a reference to The Beatles, not that any of you would probably notice. Tell me what song and I'll give you a nice shiny pretend nickel] |

| Panic! at the Disco – Mad As Rabbits Lyrics | 17 years ago |

dag_102 ; I must admit, upon first hearing this so-sought after album, I was entirely disappointed, and had lost all hope in Panic At The Disco, and, dramatically, humanity. But I gave it a few listens, slept on it (Literally), and woke with a slightly new outlook. It does indeed take deep chugs from the Holy Grail of Beatles influences, but they at least attempt to take it in a slightly different direction, whilst still remaining true to their source. It's a fairly good album, I would never proclaim it best ever, or even in the top 10. Or perhaps hundred. But it was, as some things do become on twenty minutes of sleep a night, quite listenable. Feel free to judge, by all means, judge away, but I do admit it's not as awful as I once believed. And this song is CLEARLY about the book. Anyone who can't see the obvious connections, is either blind, or "Mad as Rabbits" Get it? That's a play on words.. |
