I think this song is meant to be whatever you want it to mean, for me this song reminds me of my boyfriend. Because we use to listen to it all the time, and some of the lyrics i relate to in my mind with us. We've been through a lot of trouble with our friends, parents, and just us getting a long.I know I'd never leave him for good, even if being just his friend would suck, I would never ever not want him in my life. :] I think this song is about a girl who has a friend who she will always be there for no matter what troubles and awkward moments being with that friend causes her. |

This song reminds me of someone i really love. Things were going really good for a good while. But He was so miserable living here with his mom and he wanted badly to move, he didn't want to tell me he was moving and i guess when he decided for sure he was he was too afraid to tell me. Things got weird after a while and he didn't talk much, he kept saying he needed to tell me something but never got around to it, i should have talked to him because i know he was sad, i just didn't know what to say... Eventually we didn't talk anymore and i didn't see him in school, and then eventually he just left the state. |

In the beginning it sounds like some kind of crashing or raid or something. I'm very confused as to what the song could mean, i do agree that it possibly means how faye explains possibly, but i think there might be more. The entire album of in the aeroplane over the sea reminds me of the emotions gone through during war possibly...im not sure |

Im from Michigan, this song sums it up pretty well i think. "A mitten full of fisherman" Could be obviously Michigan is the shape of a mitten and known for fishing since there are so many lakes. "Lions and tigers come running Just to steal your luck" This makes the most sense using lions and tiger as the sport teams, and how much people obsess over them or also how the tigers use to be really good but they've went down a bit. "Who's dancing as an Indian" The only thing i can think of is the indians or how most of the citys are indian names. "Double chins and bowling pins" Double chins just makes sense because Michigans known for fat people and "bowling pins" reminds me of all the bowling places there. "Land is full of medicine" Michigan is known for great hostpitols and such "Out on the farm we'll be Swimming with the mother duck" They have great outdoors, it reminds me of when i use to go to the lakes, or to my uncles farm. |
