Indeed this song is about Sonny. Sonny left FFTL for a number of reasons. He felt bullied around and taken advantage of by alot of people including the FFTL guys. He was so young. He also as very unhappy. We're talking borderline depression here! Ultimately it wasn't what he wanted to be doing with his life so he made a change. He didn't just leave FFTL without saying anything. He had good reason for doing what he did. See "We pave the roads we take We bend before we break Across the world with you Across the world with you" Meaning all of the things they went through togeather as a band could have been worked out. "The love you never found Was right here all along Waiting here for you" Meaning exactly what it says. The love Sonny thought he didn't have from the guys was there all along. "I know you feel like you've come to far But you can always trace your steps back to the start Tearing down what you had tried to build Sometimes earthquakes have a chance to kill" Meaning Sonny feels like he has come to far to quit. It's to late. What he wanted them to be as a band didn't turn out as planned. That's just what I believe. I run a fansite for Sonny so I basically know the whole story beind his departure from FFTL. Once you know that the the song comes easily. |

Okay kids! I have to say this is one of my favorites :] I'm not gonna go into some long explanation, examining each and every lyric. Instead I'm just gonna point out key lines and explain what I think. K I really don't think the song has anythng to Mr. Sonny Moore. I would say it's about these chicks who are insecure see "I'm a mess of insecurities" and hide behind pretty faces. They constantly starve for attention. Always want someone to tell them they are beautiful. They are in love with themselves although they hurt inside. They put themselves on such high petistals and do nothing with their pathetic lives. See "Attention starved with a narcissistic twist Don't you think that I'm amazing? Please tell me I'm worth dating I have every reason not to leave home today" These girls remind me of say the new craze of girls on Myspace. The internet sensations or internet queens. They have nothing better to do than take as many picture of themselves as they can , figure out wich boy they want to date next, and wait for people to worship them. Once again see "Mirror, mirror How amazing is my figure?" fishing for compliments. Constantly wanting praise and someone to tell them how much they love and adore them. I HATE THOSE PEOPLE. So yeah that's what I think the song is about. Make up your own mind about it. |
