Say Anything – I Used to Have a Heart Lyrics 17 years ago
i think he was just a dumb guy who treated her wrong and now that they're kaputz he has realised, "shit, I'm a dick and when she left me she took my heart with her" so naturally he wants both back. So here we have this song acting as the appology. He's explaining that his life is a mess that he knows he's treated her bad and that he is sorry, so if she would only get back with him, she (at least in his opinion) would somehow have the power to turn this all around.
all in all, i believe the statement, "This song is about rebirth aided by love" sums it up nicely

Say Anything – We Killed It (feat. Andy Jackson) Lyrics 17 years ago
I agree with gingerr, It's like a relationships pregression over time, and I really like what she thought about the album in it's entirety. I also agree with jacklyn07 about the meaning of being "her hair-lip". It makes me think of a situations in which for a year he's into her and she may like him but is just too embarassed to let anything come from it until she finally gives it a chance while on this cruise and it starts out well but on this trip she just can't get past the aspect of him that she hated enough to be embarassed about so on the last night it ends. the whole part about blotting out the sun, lokey the feind and falling beneath the sea i think is just a colourful little allegory for the act of her breaking it off. meanwhile "do you remember me" is sort of him asking if you ever really gave enough of a damn about him to even remember his name. Then i see the we killed it all night as a "and that was fucking that for us" sort of conclusion to the song.

Say Anything – The Truth Is, You Should Lie with Me (feat. Joshua Sultan) Lyrics 17 years ago
Reading the homosexual one night stand interpritation of this song I'm quite certian that it's much more acurate than my own, but here it is.

my take is a teen pregnancy interpretation, and deciding to abort it.

the first verse is about the sex. You're young, you're not in love, and this is not sex to procreate. and ends with, "Swollen suffering fantasy of hate" or the realisation that yes, you're pregnant.

The second verse discusses the choice to have an abortion. because you know you're not ready to have a child but deep down you can't help but feel guilt, fell like a sinner.

The third verse has sort of the same tone, only it's almost coming from the prespective of the unbornchild, the "ever glowing light"

Finally in between these verses you have your party boy and pretty face who put no thought into their actions and just did what they did.

and that's just what i thought
