I think its about someone with supreme confidence in their ability, look at the chorus for example, "I know you can't pay/change/play/take me" Its, unintentionally, a very exact description of HHH. Someone with confidence, and 'the game' to back it up |

I actually took the first verse 'self loving soothes, softens the blows you've invented' as Matt saying that the church has made all these religious based laws, they then break them...they then 'pray that there's no go to punish us, to make a fuss' to 'soften the blows you've invented.. I think the 'waste twenty years, wind up alone demented'.....you know those people who do nothing but follow a god, devoutly, to the point where it starts to impact on how they interact with those close to them, and can wind up pushing them away...leaving the person 'alone demented'...thats my take on it anyways..more or less saying that the church is fake, and impacting on society in a very very negative way |

I hate people who say its just him screaming and not actually singing....Its part of the song, and the emphasis of anger and hate and fear |

ITS NOT ABOUT A GIRL. The whole Showbiz album was about the girl who opened his eyes to the real world.....people who are n00bs to muse shouldnt comment.
OOS was finding his meaning ^^^^^^ and breaking the norm(new born the obvious case)Absolution is about the realisation that the apocalypse is coming and the governments are corrupt. And BHAR is about the moments before the apocalypse. Knights of Cydonia being the first battle against the apocalypse |

A song in the same vein as Assassin. The first verse is about conforming with society, not being different etc. The second verse is about not believing in a government he cant trust. The all seeing eye perhaps being spy networks etc. The chorus obviously is if I feel its necessary I will justify my actions with your blood. The 3rd verse im not totally sure on, perhaps its to do with absolute power corrupts absolute....... |

Its about an alien invasion "when the zetas fill the sky". Will our leaders tell us why "planned by corrupt new world order. "Fully loaded satellites will conquer nothing but our minds" This is perhaps a reference to the fact that satellites aren't just up there for our peace of mind i.e tellecommunications and defence, but also to have contact with alien races-hence exo-politics. Example perhaps being the Star Wars project from th Cold War- was it really just an anti missile system? Or was it a whole lot more? |
