This guy is playing with a girl's emotions, most likely because she is attractive and that is all the guy wants fro her. He may also be physically abusive (father and his violent hand). He may try to hide this fact, but his eyes betray his guilt. There is probably something more here, but I have only listened to the song 30 times (no exaggeration, i love this band) and can't make anything else out. |

I think it means that someone has been hurt in a relationship, and is now paranoid about giving their heart to another person even though part of them wants to. Andrew is trying to get them out of their shell. |
