I like twilight and this song is for Twilight. But i like this song more. I don't really think it has much to do with the movie cause idk where in twilight edward and bella "don't know each other anymore" but yeah its a sweet song, sad. |

i'd like to believe it was a deeper meaning than just missing the past times as a band.
i think it's a pass time in his actual life.
that sounds confusing
but what i mean is like its a past time when he was a teen..hes seeing back to where he was and who he was and what he was afraid of. i don't agree with the old band thing. some of their songs are about fame but there are much deeper meanings built into that definitely.

i agree with them on many points.
they said she he was a teenager going to a funeral and realizing how it was impossible to avoid death. when he was a teen he didn't realize death..he saw life as going on forever..he could dance and nothing could touch him, not death, not pain, just dancing and parties. now look back at the phoenix definition. [lived in the desert forever, incinerated, and reborn] and they've actually used the word incinerate in songs. incinerate...turning your self into? morphing. so he'd be morphing himself into something. it says that the pheonix "consumed itself in fire", so that tells me the death wasn't accidental. |

eh. people. this is my guess. you have to watch the video first. the name to this song is a HUGE clue. because in the beginning they are plain, dark and grey. But then a girl shows up in color and she enters his dream. he feels he belongs with her, in all the color and light. i think its just him falling into a dream with a beautiful girl nothing like himself. OK and when he says "i'd send God's grace tonight, could it be found" who is he sending it to? the girl. and also notice that God is spelled with a capital G even in the cd lyrics. i'm a Christian and i just think that he knows who God is he just doesn't really understand. but Grace and Mercy are 2 VERRYY different things. grace is giving you something you don't deserve so i think he used it in the wrong context, and mercy is giving you forgivness for something bad that you have done. and notice that the end of "coud it be found" has a question mark at the end. hes not saying it can't be found anywhere, hes saying he doesn't know where it is. and in the phrase "where i belong, with all erased" it's him in a different world, his dream and he feels he belongs there with the bright colored girl cause shes "not grey" and he is. |

i'm not tyring to shove this down anyones throte. it is open for interpretation. i just know it means that there is this girl who is sick of life and all its flaws and she wants to die, she wants to kill herself. But God is saying that he has his arms around her. forever. i know people don't think God is real sometimes because dirasticaly bad things happen to them and they think God should've stopped it. but everything happens for a reason. and it's not God's fault bad things happen. it's the way the world is. it'll never be perfect. God loves us no matter what....this song is like God saying to this girl that hes everything Hes everything she needs. Hes the only thing she will ever need in her life. She just needs to trust in Him and believe. skillet rocks.

this is a christian band......lol. they sold a t-shirt of them at lifest...[a Christian music festival] lol. this guy basically means hes having tons of troubles in life and he forgot to give them to God. and he remembering that he just needs to give his worries with God. hes saying "God give me life, breathe into me, help me" they are a Christian band....trust me i they are. lol.

ummmm well. i think it means how everything in our generation is so much different than our parents' generation. how parents think they understand things that your going through but they don't really cause they were in a totally different time period. the problems were different. the pressures were different. and sometimes you just really want them to go away and leave you alone to figure things out yourself sometimes. |

don't waste your touch you won't feel anything, or were you sent to save me?: i think he doesn't want people to be disappointed in how he is. if he doesn't give them what they expected, so he tells them not to pay attention, and then hes wondering maybe they were sent to save him from his pain.....basically i think this song means that he doesn't want to disappoint maybe the one he loves in this song if he doesn't turn out the way he expected...but then hes thinking how much he really loves her and how much he wants her and he just wants her to take him away. take his heart away from him. but then he says : i saw it's birth...maybe he means he saw the birth of his love for her, he felt it grow in him and felt it change him. but then he overtook it and completely let it change who he was....
