This is such a nostalgic song for me... makes me feel sad and happy at the same time... To me the song is just about loss of innocence like wishing you could just live forever young and not have to grow up and face life. But despite the song's melancholy tone, it seems to offer a glimmer of hope for me. |

This is one of my favorite songs by CS. I don't know for sure if there is a specific situation here that the song refers to, but one of the managers for the band kind of screwed them over with their contract and entangled them in this lawsuit. This album "Disciplined Breakdown" was written during this time, and a lot of songs represent strong emotions that were felt by the band at the time. I think this song is just about learning to forgive someone that has wronged us. How many of us have felt wronged by someone, but at the same time find it hard to forgive that person. This song is about the art of learning to forgive someone as is expressed many times throughout the song. |
