First off,amazing song.
Second off,i found it interesting that Warped Tour 08 was their first tour,yet he mentions "two days on the road and you're still on my mind" it doesnt make the song bad,i just found it interesting. |

This song has always seemed at me as he drinks and smokes weed all the time and does whatever else because it seems like the only way to deal with problems saying "baby theres no easy way out" and "i'm screamin through the troubles that the drugs dont solve" and theres still problems so he wants a way out of them.just my interpritation |

This song,as the band has strongly alluded to and ofte nsaid outright,is about being in New York City.years ago the band's van broke down in NYC in the winter in the worst blizzard the city ad seen in like 30 years.the "green line down at bleecker and broad" is the subway car they slept on and they got on the station at Bleecker St. and Broadway.The lines about "staten island princess so pretty in pearls" and "these pretty girls and these manhattan apartments" are pretty self-explanatory lol. |

I've listened to this song literally hundreds of times and i get out of it that yes,"i'm gonna be high" is about smoking weed but it aso could be about being in an airplane because in the chorus there are obvious refferences to things in airplanes.and Nashville (their hometown) is in the middle of Tennessee so it makes sense.And "fast and faded.dead in times square" and "i'm dreaming of the palm trees" are talking about New York City and Los Angeles,two places the band has lived. |
