James didn't write it as a romantic song, people just generally hear the chrous and assume that's what it is then stick to that idea. Fantastic song though. |

I've never really thought that the "half the world away" line might refer to a lover. I always assumed it was more where he wanted to be, or where his mind was. Must then I read sazzlepants post and that makes more sense as Liam would have been half the world away from Noel |
