i think that verse you speak of skyrites24 where he sings "and we kissed as the sky fell in, holding you close" means that the emotional/spiritual bond was tight even as the world around them collapsed, or the sky fell upon them... blah blah blah... i hate love but i love this song. This song is so full of RAGE and DISCONTENT with the subject. I aint sure who it's aimed at if one person is actually the subject, it seems he talks more about generalities... Jimmy's drumming here is a testament to how powerful he makes this band. The vocals are monsterous... i LOVE this song. oh and by the way...
Oh man... i have to disagree very STRONGLY with goblinbabies ... Zeitgeist does not suck. At the first listen i didnt like it so much... but i listened to it again lately and it grew by leaps and bounds in just one listen. |

This to me is the epitome of despair, and no one except the Great Jeff Buckley could have done this song with such emotion and attitude. It is such a sad song, but the last time he sings the verse sounds almost like a praise/worship song, as if finally he is happy or at least no longer sad that its "never over". |
