| Well, im pretty sure it is about the whole being rejected by someone you love and drinking the problems away. But when i think of the organs "screaming out" i take it two ways. The slightly funny image of his liver screaming in pain from all of the alcohol, and the sad image of his heart screaming out for the girl he loves. Ugh, depressing. | |

| daron's voice is ok, but serj's is much more unique. daron is great as a back-up singer, but he sings too much in mesmerize and hypnotize. instead of splitting vocals 50-50 with serj, it should be more in 30-70 area, with more harmonizing. more like steal this album. | |

looking through these comments made me want to complain im tired of people who go on any website like this, look at album reviews or song lyrics of a certain artist and leave a dumb comment on how the band sucks. i dont know why youre looking at this if you dont like this song, and even if you are for some reason, dont leave a stupid comment. anyway i love this song, this album had the most energy of all the albums. corey goes nuts in this song when he screams, and the song seems to get steadily faster as it goes on |

i think this song is about his dependence on drugs and how this makes a "beast out of himself", while alienating himself, "so sorry your not here","(all alone)" and i love the ending. its almost whispered and not as heavy as the rest of the song, but i always have to turn it up when i listen to it |

i have no clue if this is true, but i heard once from a radio station that chris cornell said that the song has no meaning, and that "black hole sun" just sounds cool im kinda suspicous, cause this doesn't sound like something any artist would say |
