Spring Awakening – Blue Wind Lyrics 17 years ago
Nicely put, Cid. I agree about Ilse's message of hope, while Moritz is just sinking deeper into his depression. I'm not so sure what Ilse means by "blue wind", but she may be talking about either herself, Moritz, or humans in general. Also I think spring and summer are to her a time of hope, while in autumn and winter there is suffering, but that "every other day" spring and summer will return. So basically she's saying to Moritz that his state of sadness is only temporary and soon will be over. (similar to the message of Purple Summer-the future holds hope)
Of course, I'm not really sure.

Frou Frou – Shh Lyrics 17 years ago
This song does sound like it's about some sort of secret affair, possibly sexual or not, depending on how one looks at it.

The alien abduction theories sound a little less far fetched than usual...although they still seem silly. Even if it's true, I'll be really disappointed if it's the case.

Frou Frou – Must Be Dreaming Lyrics 17 years ago
I'm sorry, but I think all this arguing is sort of funny...

As to the song: I adore it. Most of the explanations on here basically said it. When love seems too good to be true, but it is.

Frou Frou – Let Go Lyrics 17 years ago
This song to me is about a relationship. Maybe the other person has inhibitions or is too caught up in everyday life to really give himself (although it's not gender specific.) to her.

She says "you bubble wrap." They're trying to shield themselves or keep themselves safe.

And then "There's beauty in the breakdown." She may mean when the other other drops their guard.

Also she tells him to hand her the remote, which IS a critique about TV, but also telling him to pay attention to her, instead of spending his time in an a "sideshow". Also "We've no time for later now." He told her "later", he'll be with her but she doesn't want to wait for him.

Of course the global consciousness theory makes a lot of sense too. And after all, many Frou Frou songs are very vague and up to interpretation.

Feist – The Water Lyrics 17 years ago
This song is so beautiful and haunting.
I agree that it might be less about a relationship and more about life and the human experience in general.

For example:
"The harbor becomes the sea."
A place that's always been safe turns into something much bigger and more open.
The water and the mountain are metaphors for her learning the harshness of life. ("...It's dangerous size...it's steep and rocky sides...more than realized.")
