| I love this song coz it works on several levels. First is that your girl is your soul mate and you'll still be with her in heaven. And that when in heaven, you don't care about all the famous dudes coz none compare to your her. And also, from a personal point of view, my mum died when i was young and the girl i'm seeing now is exactly who i feel this song is about, because i've finally met the girl i would have loved to take home to meet my mum. | |

Dude, relax!!! If you get this worked up over something as trivial as people misinterpreting song lyrics, i'd hate to see how stressed you get over really important things. First off, being a fan of a band or a song doesn't mean knowing every tiny thing about that band or song. I love Mayday Parade, and this song especially, but I don't even know the names of any of the band. Why not? Coz i've got bigger shit in my life to worry about!!! And as for not knowing the true meaning behind the song, well so what. I actually think that your version (as true as it probably is - and you're right, it DOES work with the lyrics) is a tad morbid. I prefer my own interpretation of a bf and gf separating coz one's leaving town. Maybe not true, but still fitting with the song and a whole lot less miserable. Anyway, peace, bud. It's an awesome song either way and should be a whole lot better known. |

This is such an awesome song, and it's kind of nice that it's not so specific as to be obvioulsy about one situation. It could also apply to a teenage couple, and she's leaving to a new town with her family. The line "for someone you're an angel sent to save" is beautiful, and shows how highly he regards his girlfriend. Anyway, who knows? To the girl whose guy is off to Iraq, good luck. Hope things work out for you both. |

THis song is un-fricking-believable!! It's just about the best song I've ever heard. So, to add my feelings, BEFORE I read the lyrics, I based my opinions on what I heard in the song. It made me think of the girl I was crazy about, especially the line "Keep breathing", coz it reminds me of how she makes me feel when I'm around her. Pretty bloody nervous. But having read the lyrics, I reckon it's about their last night before she dies. Whatever it means, it's an awesome song. |
