Nonpoint – Vengeance Lyrics 17 years ago
In my opinion, this song is about the state of today's society; like many other songs on the album, it carries a certain double meaning. While it could be about the rich, it could also be about the overly-glamorous media portrayal of celebrities in today's world. "city made of plastic gold, could refer to a city made of money (money not being true happiness) or it could be a city made of plastic smiles, or a combination of the two.

The part about "old coming to die" and "young digging all of the holes" I believe is in direct reference to the pollution, conspiracies and general rape of today's youthful generation by the current administrations across the globe. We will never know their true intentions "lies to the grave" and leave us with plenty of burden to bear "boxes filled with all their souls."

The chorus is obviously about overcoming these obstacles by force.

"people closing in reaching for my pockets taking every single penny they can" is probably accusing corporations today of screwing us. College loans, house, car, bills; all the things they make us want, on top of it, and always with a % here and there, where "fat fingers stuck inside the pocket of people doing anything to make a buck" referres to minimum wager workers, desperate for anything, being bled dry by the government and corporations. "Then complain we don't trust!" is probably in reference to how we refuse to fall in line and let them pass every law they want; or possibly a shot at the law, saying it's their law, not ours, and those who break it may be justified.

now it's time for lunch.
