this song makes me tear up almost everytime I hear it. its about somebody who has made some serious mistakes in their life. everything falls apart and they have nothing. they tried so hard to make something of themself, but they failed. they feel like a shattered puzzle laying on the floor in a thousand pieces. then they turn to god. suddenly things start comming back together. everything they thought they lost, they're suddenly finding again. they're experiencing happiness that they forgot even existed. Psalms 55, verse 22 says: "Throw your burden upon Jehovah himself, and he himself will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous one to totter." and how true that is. when you're feeling like the singer is in this song, don't be afraid to go to god for help. because he can and will help you. he will make you whole. |

| this song to me is about a person who has commited a serious sin and no longer feels worthy of anything. instead of repenting, he trys running away from god. a serious mistake, as he soon finds out. he realizes that nothing can replace the love that god shows us, and that he left it behind. god will forgive us for our sins, so long as we repent and are truly sorry. | |

i believe that this song is directed toward satan. he will not hold back from completely ruining somebodys life. he'll make it seem like you're doing yourself good, when really you're destroying yourself. satan will tear somebody down to the point that they feel like they're worth less than the dirt on the ground. this song is an emotional outburst for anybody who is experiencing the devils torment. the singer is basicly asking him a simple question. "why?". "why must you be so evil? you've done enough. just let me go." he doesnt want to be afraid of life anymore. hes tired of running away. he just wants freedom. then in the bridge, something snaps in the singers head, and he loses control and basicly gives the devil the middle finger and is simply not going to allow him to control his life anymore. ahhhh but if only it were really that easy... |

to me this song is pretty much about somebody who keeps making the same mistake in their life. whatever it may be, its completely destroying them inside. i think in the verses, hes talking to god. and in the chorus, god is answering him basicly saying "let the devil take control of you for a little bit, and you will realize that without me, you'll accomplish nothing in your life. But if you completely give into the devils lies, you wont be abl to recieve my help." or something of that nature. i may have a very twisted meaning behind this song, but oh well. thats what this site is here for. to give your opinion =] |

i could be WAY off, but heres what this song means to me. im not gonna explain every line and say why i think this is what its about, but shortly put, i basicly see it as a song about a close friend who commits suicide. and the singer is in so much misery and mental anguish over it, that he turns to drugs and completely f*cks up his life. at first hes completely devestated, but eventually that saddness turns to anger over the fact that his "friend" would take her own life, and f*ck his up in the process. thats where the bridge comes in. "you set me up to f*cking fail this time!". like i said i could be WAYYY off. but thats the beautiful thing about music. every song could mean something els to each person. |

this song is pretty straight forward as far as the meaning, but ill give my input anyway. to me it's basicly about a girl who's in an abusive relationship, and has been for song time. shes absolutly dying inside, but she tryins to cover it up and pretend everything is ok. the song is being sung from somebody looking in from the outside wondering why this girl is staying in the relationship and and putting herself through so much hell even tho her and everybody els knows that she is in total misery. and eventually, the girl snaps, and ends up murdering the guy. so like 1987 dude said, this song is very simmilar to never again by nickelback. i can somewhat relate to this song...this song paints a much more extreme case than my experience, but i have a really good friend that was in a relationship that she absolutly had to get out of, and eventually did. (thank god) |
