this song is obviously about cutting or self harming. it could be suicide, but that doesnt really work cuz hes sayin that he's breaking the habit.. and suicide cant really be a habit can it? it could be drugs too, but im pretty sure its about SI... a lot of people have said they think its drugs cuz of the line "Clutching my cure" saying that drugs are what he needs, so they are his cure... but with a lot of people, cutting is their cure. the physical pain helps with the mental pain, so cutting could be the cure to mental pain... this song really spoke out to me for a lot of reasons... it helps me every time i really want to cut again, it gives me the strength to help me stop and think about other ways to deal with stuff |

to me this song is about a person who hates someone else, but can leave them or ditch them becuz they also love them... "i hate everything about you, why do i love you?" those are the best lyrics ever... its like, the person you love is something you hate, yet you still love them, and you can hate that you love them.... that makes no sense but wutev.. |

"I do not wanna be afraid I do not wanna die inside just to breathe in I'm tired of feeling so numb Relief exists I find it when I am cut" i self injure and those lyrics explain exactly how i feel when and after i cut.. i can only find relaxation after i let go of all the metal pain by causing physical pain... i also think the line : I do not wanna die inside just to breathe in is also kinda refering to the fact that she doesnt want to self harm, which might cause the feeling of numbness (or dying inside) jsut to be able to breathe in and relax... to all the other injurers out there: i cant say stop, or get help, because that would be hyprocritical... but stay strong, dont give up, and find something in this world to live for |

ok so the thing that im wondering about is this: if you go to google video and type in "what sarah said" it comes up with this song, but the video doesnt seem to portray what you have all been saying in your comments... its all about the girl showing love to the guy, and hes not acknowledging it... then she is doubting his love.. then theres a very moving scene where she is self-harming... if anyone can help me figure out the connects between what your opinions of this song are and that video that would be great! heres the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1SZvhCNIY0 this was the first DCFC song i heard and i never cry but this song was very moving even though i have never been in a situation of watching a loved one die and can only imagine what that must be like |
