The space and extra terrestrial references and transcendence that Deftones refer to always make me think of a DMT trip.
DMT is the strongest psychadelic, its also a chemical naturally produced in our brains when we dream.
When taking DMT, you literally travel through cyberspace. The revelations that Chino refers to always remind me of DMT.

Thank you blinksta. Seem to be the only other one out there who gets it. radiohead is far beyond love and god, and their music transcends cliche reflections about relationships. to even attempt to make an analysis as shallow as some of these is plain pretentious. |

swim thinks that this song reflects drug induced moments of clarity (and it goes on clear), and the world that the speaker of the song lives in. sure, theres a loss of virginity, but one must note the subtleties regarding how detached the speaker is from his partner highlighting the "truth" about the real emotions that are being felt. the speaker feels the fear of his actions but carries them out anyway satisfying his own empty curiousty and carnal desire. |
