to me, this song is about loving your neighbor. we in america sometimes try to isolate ourselves from our brothers and sisters who are suffering (i.e. darfur, iraq) and we try to justify ourselves by giving time and/or money to the physical church. however to show the love of God, the church needs to wake up and BE the body of christ. its our job to take care of them. there was a saint who would give bread to the homeless, and would apologize for stealing it ( even though he didnt directly). ANYWAYS, were trying to feel good by giving to thechurch when those around us are suffering. (working for the church while my family dies). its a call for followers of Christ to wake up and DO SOMETHING!
