| Elton John – Wouldn't Have You Any Other Way (NYC) Lyrics

No comments on this? Wow. a self explanatory love song to Elton's favorite city. This song includes my all time favorite Bernie taupin lyric :
Oh the subway rumbled underneath
Italian lights where Joey Gallo died
And the man on the door down at 54
is letting only the pretty inside
Fantastic imagery there

One of the all time great rock & roll tragedies. This group had so much potential to be something really big, and mismanagement and record company nonsense literally destroyed two of the group's main members will to live. Such a shame. This is a beautiful song |

This song is used in an episode of "Freaks & Geeks" in a scene that is one of the most poignant, endearing
scenes you will ever see on a TV show. The perfect song for the perfect scene |

Appears to be about a guy who gets drunk and joins the service, leaving his girl behind. At least thats what I think she's getting at. No matter, as Kate has probably the most beautiful voice ever put to music. She is completely, utterly mesmerizing |

Just a fantastic song - probably her best. My only quibble with it is the line is "what by day they lack" but it appears to sound like she is singing "what binding they lack". She clearly pronunciates "by day" in live recording |

Just an absolutely beautiful song, one of John's forgotten gems. Even Yoko cant ruin this one. This was my grandmother's favorite song of all time, God rest her soul. She passed away in 1988 and this song will forever be linked to her when i hear it. She used to love singing along to the line "and the poets of auld Ireland".....my favorite John Lenon song for totally sentimental reasons, but even still....this is a wonderful song |

Sandy wrote this song while sitting on a wall overlooking a church that was almost always empty. The only person she would ever see while overlooking the gravestones in the churchyard was the priest. Simple, yet brilliant |
