I think this is about a guy & a girl who were in a relationship. From the girls side, he was always talking about everything he hated in his life, & then it caused them to seperate becuz she got sick of it. He was always negative & it hurt her. So I think the song about showing him what he ended up doing to her can you see this? or wear it on your wrist [like he's proud of it] it's everything you wanted the mark you always missed[how to him he never seemed to get what he wanted in life] can you feel this? [cause he never felt anything.] cross me off your list [like he meant to do it the whole time.] she's everything you wanted[a new girl.] the mark you always missed[finally getting whats he THOUGHT he wanted.] with dry eyes, steady hands[it doesnt hurt her cause she knows she has to move on to be happy, for her.] i tried so hard to understand I dont know. | I always thought this was about a guy & girl in a relationship that really do care about each other, except the guy has a way of ruining things. Being mean sometimes so that he has the upper hand & wont get hurt in the end. "rainy ending given to a perfect day" And he "puts up walls" but she still keeps trying because she knows or hopes.. he loves her. She's the dreamer with the nerve to adore him in the song and he uses it against her to protect himself. | |
