Although this has nothing to do with anything. I feel like tell you all. Something happened to me almost a year ago. Being how this CD was new a year ago, I loved this song from the moment I heard it. I would only listen to this song, over & over. I think every word is amazing especially when he says "wake up in the middle of the night, just don't believe everything is alright". & the verse where he says, " I wish I could live.." & so on. This song, reminds me of that time. The last tour they played with Mayday Parade, I really liked. They played this song, & I cried like a loser. Anyways, I wrote that verse to my mom now. I think maybe there was a bad breakup, & he's wanting someone (ocean) to protect him. Comfort him, you know? |

Ah, even though the video is incredibly simple. I can't stop watching it, & the songs is so short. I listen to it non-stop only because this song reminds me of a time I felt the same way. I think it is about just letting go, even though it hurts really bad. I love Tegan & Sara. |

This song is my favorite song from Emery since the very start. I love this song, I love Emery. I still haven't figured out what this song means, but when I do, I'll be sure to post something up about that. ;) |

I'm not going to read through every comment, if you didn't know this song was about his grandmother who passed away. If you think I'm just assuming, he actually told everyone at a show I was at. & for the first few comments I read through, Emery is a Christian band, mainly every song they relate to God someway, you'd know that if youlooked through some of the lyrics. ;) |

First off, the lyrics aren't complete. The ending goes with something like this, "you said that you could & that's all that you wanted to bring to the show, & you leave without reason. Who cares if it's right it's been more than engaged in. These long walks & taunts, but these faces your making now.." That's the ending. Although I love Emery, this song has always reminded me of loving/caring for someone that you couldn't be with, it just wouldn't/couldn't happened because they wouldn't let it happen. |
