Xzibit – What You See is What You Get Lyrics 14 years ago
Lyrics are disgracefully wrong. lol "Bless the child THAT CAN HOLD HIS OWN." "Who said you can't have your cake and eat it, too?" Man, that's like shit you hear every Sunday.

It's also "players, pimps, hoes, etc."

Tupac Shakur – Killumanati Lyrics 14 years ago
The key lyrics that really sum this song up are:

...I follow no man
Nigga got my own plan, and it's called Killuminati

Illuminati basically predicted how the world would wind up being in the future. Killuminati seems to describe how Tupac was aware of a future he did not want to be a part of.

At least that's what I think...

The first verse is EPIC. Has some of X's best lyrics ever.

Xzibit – Recycled Assassins (feat. Montageone) Lyrics 15 years ago
Some of the lyrics are wrong but being the last song on 40 Dayz & 40 Nightz... this is easily the best song (especially lyrically) on the album. I think the most important lesson in this song was how at the end Xzibit expresses what he learned from deciding to following his older brother. When his older brother paid the ultimate price for living the way he did, Xzibit didn't think that the repercussions would happen to him, but it did in two ways. For one, he was put in jail but not sentenced as harshly as his older brother and secondly, seeing that his younger brother who was never really interested in being like his older brothers early on, eventually started heading in that direction. He realized that his little brother was looking up to him all along and if Xzibit valued himself better, his little brother wouldn't have grew from someone who was likely focused on the right things instead of becoming another recycled assassin that's focused on more dangerous aspects of life that could get him killed. With that being said, I think it's one of the saddest rap songs I've ever heard and you will only be able to find similar Xzibit songs of this style & quality on his previous/debut album "At The Speed Of Life."

Genius. 2Pac's heart was truly at his fingertips.

Bone Thugs-n-Harmony – No Surrender Lyrics 15 years ago
I can't believe I overlooked this song when I first heard their album. Lyrically, it's not bad, but the music is definitive hardcore rap. 1994 was probably my favorite year for rap music and this album - or this song alone is just a good example of that.

Tupac Shakur – Changes Lyrics 15 years ago
lol "white america." Unlike some places in Europe perhaps, America never once had a moment when the entire country was white, but they do a "good" job pretending they do.

I find it funny that black america has had so much influence on white america and not the opposite. But if whites america influenced black america, racist whites would be too stupid to take credit for it. Oh wait, I forgot. We're apes. So I guess we've influenced you to act like us? Oh wait, you're not among the majority of the open-minded whites, you're still among the minority of racist whites.

That song sucks. I could've wrote the shit myself. 4 lines is all you have? Try again.

And yes, METAL. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fuck all stupid rap.

This is not stupid rap, though!

Why complain? It was racist whites like you in the government who gave black communities crack. Oh... let me guess. Are you among the poor whites? That's too bad, but here's some hope. Obama should do a better job taking care of you than most of the white Presidents in the past have.

Job opportunities were (and still are) narrow. But lets say that there were actual job opportunities. Unless you get hired on the spot, a job isn't going to fill your stomach the day you are hungry, is it? That's not really contradicting if you have to do whatever it takes to make it to tomorrow. That's makes his words, "I ain't never did a crime I ain't have to do," while mentioning purse snatching make sense.

The Notorious B.I.G. – Who Shot Ya Lyrics 15 years ago
Hit Em Up Was better on so many levels IMO. (I'll even say Nas' Ether was better than this.) Hit Em Up was the kind of song that clearly expressed that 2Pac wasn't holding anything back which makes it the better dis track. However, Biggie's song is better than the other versions of Hit Em Up that were unreleased. I never took any of 2Pac's songs as a diss to the other side (east coast) but I would take this song as a diss to the West Coast.

Tupac Shakur – No More Pain Lyrics 15 years ago
This was the hardest song on All Eyez On Me right beside Ambitionz Az A Ridah. DeVante's eerie beat makes No More Pain a classic.

Classic. Every line in this song is truth. It's a goddamn shame he lost that rape case because I don't believe the mind of a rapist could write this.

Tupac Shakur – When Thugz Cry Lyrics 15 years ago
This song was a reply to Nas's song "When Thugs Die" when Pac had beef with Nas. This version of the song off of Until The End Of Time had some changes from the OG (new Chorus, complete 3rd verse, different music, no dedication/Nas dis in the end). I felt this version wanted to make the song sound sad whereas the OG conveyed more of a painful feeling musically. Lyrically Pac gives a powerful presentation with his lyrics writing about the life of a thug and its repercussions resulting in not tears shed but blood shed. This song is at the top of my list of favorite 2Pac songs.

2Pac's saddest song. Very visual writing. Probably one of his best lyrics and for me at times challenging to listen to because I've never heard a more depressing song.

Nas – Drunk By Myself Lyrics 15 years ago
My favorite line from his lyrics are:

"The reason that I want to be alone?
Tired of all the things that went wrong that would have went right if I would have did it on my own."

Out of all the songs I've heard that base the theme on driving, this is probably my favorite. Love how the music uses two violins. Haven't heard all of Nas's songs but right now this one is my favorite lyrically and musically.

Nas – Hip Hop Is Dead Lyrics 15 years ago
Oh I think they like me - in my white tee
You can't ice me - we here for life B

LOL I love Nas for writing that. Because ever since that gay ass white tee song came out, every commercialized rap/black-pop song sounds just like it even to this day.
