i haven't even heard the jason mraz version and i now i'll hate it. the whole beauty of Conor Oberst is that his voice is raw. He doesn't tweak it in the studio or make sound smoother or more perfect. and that's what makes his music perfect. nothing's fake. this song is beautiful because, just like love, nothing is fake. it's all him, no synthesizers, no airbrushing, just his voice. |
