Thanks for the lyrics guys. Thom played this song last summr in Amsterdam. Simply gotta love it. Meaning is open to your won favourite interpretation (as in all radiohead lyrics) but there is a clear reference to the big protone collier build in Switserland (CERN). 'particles scatter' etc. |

This is a political song, about the future no one believes in anymore. The 'big ideas' like Christianity, (neo)liberalism, capitalism, socialism etc. all didn't deliver. So don't get any big ideas, they're not gonna happen. Mankind is nude in that it hasn't got anything to believe in anymore. We've gone off the rails, there will always be something missing: guidance. |
