I think it sounds more like: "Fly yourself away from here, into the clear" "Shake the hands, the hands that pick, pick the fight" "Friends and neighbours, sleepy town" But he is pretty hard to understand. Thanks for the lyrics =] |

What's with all this doom and gloom? You used to be such, such a laugh It's only sin, original sin Corinthians (15:22) Never been a big fan of things But I'm growing so fond of you You get sadder the smarter you get And it's a bore You get sadder the smarter you get And it's a bore Truth is truth I ain't no bohemian Much too, much too safe Much too, much too typical Much too, much too typical Much too, much too You can use your hands for something else I’ll take you further than the scholars can Put down your books and molest me Heaven is here, where it needs to be You get sadder the smarter you get And it's a bore You get sadder the smarter you get And it's a bore And there was a time before we were born When we stood in the garden If this world won't last I'll turn you on Well, I've got enough for the both of us The both of us The both of us And there was a time before we were born When we stood in the garden If this world does not turn you on Well, I've got enough for the both of us The both of us (from blocparty.com) |

I'm pretty sure it's "Hand over your heart let's go home" Other than that I think it's all right, except I'm not sure what the line "special ones walk on without sound" is either, it sounds different, but I don't know what it is. |

Oh she’s only seventeen Wind and wind and wound up over everything Bloody Mary [something] Brothers cried and when’s a baby gonna sleep? --[this line’s a pretty big guess haha] Even ships who sails away ---[I don’t think it’s the word ‘even’ but I don’t know what it is so I just left it] Say it’s a culmination of a story and a goodbye session It’s a tick of our time and a tick in her hair That made me feel so strange I could call you baby I could call you damn it It’s a one in a million It’s the rolling of a Spanish tongue That made me wanna stay Oh she’s only seventeen Wind and wind and wound up over everything Bloody Mary [something] Brothers cried and when’s a baby gonna sleep? Even ships who sails away Said it’s a culmination of a story and a goodbye session It’s a tick of our time and a tick in her hair That made me feel so strange I could call you baby I could call you damn it It’s a one in a million It’s the rolling of a Spanish tongue That made me wanna stay I could call you baby I could call you damn it It’s a one in a million It’s the rolling of a Spanish tongue That made me wanna stay I'm not sure or anything, and I'm pretty sure some of them are wrong, just trying to add on to what you already have. |

| Bloc Party – Better Than Heaven Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
When I listened again, I thought it sounded like typical, and I thought I wrote another comment, but apparently not. And I also thought it sounded like "molest me", but I don't really know, cause I could only kind of hear it. And I agree with what darkfrankhs said about the "You get sadder..." line. As you learn more, you become more cynical, and less happy about the world as a whole. |

I think in this bit "Much too, much too safe Much too, much too typical Much too, much too typical Much too, much too" The third line should be topical not typical. I could be wrong though. |

Wouldn't you say that the "You know I still adore you But in a different kind of way..." bit is the chorus? I like how Kele sings that bit, and I like the lyrics "And to think I laughed at you for how you saw the world". =] |

| Angus and Julia Stone – Stranger Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
As the music roared We moved through the crowd I kissed your lips There was no one around There was no one around In a house made of glass There's a boy throwing rocks Every love's like his last Cause your heart's all you got Yeah your heart's all you got Cos it's been so long Since you've been around I've never missed a stranger before I think it's love It's Judas's call I've never missed a stranger before, like you She wore lace round her hair Yeah she looked like a queen With eyes so fair... She was something of a dream Shw was something of a dream Cos it's been so long Since you've been around I've never missed a stranger before I think it's love It's Judas's call I've never missed a stranger before, like you Cos it's been so long Since you've been around I've never missed a stranger before I think it's love It's Judas's call I've never missed a stranger before, like you. Those are the actual lyrics from the lyrics booklet. The first line of yours is wrong, and then just a few other little things aswell. |

| INXS – Elegantly Wasted Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
“…It makes sense that the band members recall little of recording Elegantly Wasted. They worked at the Armory Studio, in Vancouver, B.C., with Bruce Fairburn and Andrew Farris producing, and felt good about their new material. There is however, one noteworthy story to be had. First, a bit of background: In 1996, at England’s Brit Awards (the U.K. equivalent of the Grammys), Michael presented Oasis with Best Album, which they won for (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? When the notorious brats arrived at the podium, Noel Gallagher looked at Michael and said that a has been shouldn’t be presenting awards to “gonna-bes”. Months later, in Dublin, while Andrew and Michael were visiting their friends U2 and putting the finishing touches on the album demos, Michael met Bono one night at a pub, where Oasis singer Liam Gallagher showed up. The three front men sat down, drank freely, and as the night wore on, young master Gallagher became quite intolerable. As he’s wont to do, Liam grew incomprehensible, belligerent, and very, very loud. Finally Michael had had enough. “Hey man, why don’t you shut up and sit down, you’re being a fucking asshole,” he said. “We’re just trying to have a good time, what the fuck are you doing?” Liam garbled a threat, stood up, and got in Michael’s face. And Bono got between them keeping the peace as only he could, until Liam calmed down. The next day, photos of Liam and Bono nose-to-nose appeared in tabloids everywhere and mistakenly reported that the two nearly came to blows. No punches were thrown, but the incident put an end to the night. Michael left the pub and returned to the studio, where he ran into Andrew Farris, who was off to bed. “He said, ‘Man, don’t worry, you don’t need to stay, I just want to rerecord some background vocals. I don’t think I did a very good job of them today,’ ” Andrew recalls. Michael and the engineer spent the next hour or so doing just that, adding layers to the chorus of the album’s title track, “Elegantly Wasted.” No one realized exactly what Michael had done until six months later in Chicago, while Andrew and Michael were doing press at a radio station. “I’ve been listening to this chorus over and over- great song by the way, guys- but I’ve got to ask you, are you saying ‘I’m better than Oasis’? I swear I hear that on the backing vocals,” the DJ said. Andrew’s face flushed while Michael sat in silence, smirking like the cat who’d swallowed the canary. Andrew stuttered the best response he could: “Well, no, the chorus, as far as I know, is ‘I am elegantly wasted.’ I’m not sure what you’re hearing, but that’s what we’re singing… right Michael?” Elegantly Wasted is a deft mix of rock infused with dance beats that was, in 1997, ahead of the pack. The band’s new sound preceded U2’s similarly styled Pop and bridged the gap between public’s taste for post-grunge rock anthems, and the slinky mechanical seduction of electronica….” The "I'm better than Oasis" is there in all of the lines, as another layer to "I'm elegantly wasted". Take that Oasis |

Yeah, it is 'easier to bear'. I really like this song, especially the lines: "She said my boy, don't fill up your head with trivial things" and "She said my boy don't fill up your heart with nothing but love". |
