Lennon references are by no means hard to imagine. Funniest thing is when Noel heard it first he didn't believe that Liam wrote it. Then said it was going to be the first single of the album the ''ass fell out of his trousers'' ha ha gold. That was on the interview for HC that came with the CD.. |

I've also heard this entire album had gay undetones. Andy you're a star is kind of that way but I see almost the whole album tying in with the story, bar a few songs. But then Brandon has said this was basically an album of demos etc and Sam's Town felt like their first real album. Who knows? Guess that's the beauty of music huh? To each their own. |

Its part of the murder trilogy, on their Aussie tour Brandon was singing ''she kicked and screamed while I held her throat'' which is either as he intended the lyrics to be (maybe too dark for their first release) or he thought of it later and it fitted which is too large a coincidence. Anyway, love this f***ing band so much.... |

Yeah I think Fancy kid is right, I've heard interviews and read press on this soing being about Pete's overdose on Atavan (spelling?) depression medicine. I've read that Atavan Halen (7 Seconds) is about it but that makes no sense, it's just the name throws people.
Also, I think the line ''i want to be done for my hits not jsut my misses'' is another bit of brilliant Pete word play. I think it's him being fed up with fame and wanting to be known for his music, not who he's dating (his 'missus'). But still, love this song and glad he was able to actually write the song! |
