Anberlin – Disappear Lyrics 17 years ago
In TWLOHA's exclusive blog which was where the lyrics to this song were first posted, Jamie said Stepehn told him that this song is about not forgetting the homeless.

This song is great. I can't wait for New Surrender.

Ivoryline – All You Ever Hear Lyrics 17 years ago
I agree with slj06863...and I also believe that having an in-depth relationship with God is more important that following guidelines to a certain religion. Anyway....

I think this song is about this girl being trapped in a world where everyone is fake and the same, even though they all claim to be different. Everyone in this town of fakes is plotting against her, knowing what they're doing and knowing that she'll fall for it all. He is trying to warn her but she gets caught up in all of their "games" anyway, and she blames her indifference (apathy), which gets her into this mess, on him. He finally gets tired of trying to save her and tells her that she can't put the blame on him.

Ivoryline – The Last Words Lyrics 17 years ago
Just my take on it....

"Are we
Are we just selfish
For wanting to keep you
Where we are
Just where you left us
You're seeing all the things I'd die to see
(all the things I'd die to see)"

-Someone close has passed away and he's ovbiously upset about it, but not wanting to be selfish because he knows that person is in a better place (Heaven) and he wishes he could join that person.

"Everybody finds it necessary
To say how much you loved me
As if I didn't know so deeply"

-People telling him that the person who died loved him so much and he's getting tired of hearing it because he already knew that.

"Can you see
Evidence of perfection
Look past the circumstance
And find some meaning
Find some meaning"

-Coming to the realization that their death fit perfectly into God's plan, and having to look past what everyone that was left mourning lost and how much more the person who died gained.

"If only this song could capture
The peace you are seeing
If only this song could capture
The hope we are seeking"

-He wishes there was a way to experience and share even the slighest amount of peace and happiness that his loved one is seeing and feeling yet at the same time wishing he could show this same loved one just how much the want reassurance that they will be together again one day.

"Just love me and let me sleep"

-Asking his loved one to continue to love him and to watch over him.

Ivoryline – Remind Me I'm Alive Lyrics 17 years ago
To me, they're talking about their relationship with God and how you sometimes doubt God and what His plan is, especially when something tragic happens and then realizing that it's all part of a greater plan.

"Did you think you were made for all the things
That felt like a waste
Or has everything led you to be
What you have never foreseen"
-Asking himself if he honestly believes he is here just here to be here, and if the things he's experienced have maybe led him to believe in a "higher power" (What you have never foreseen)

"Everything I see reminds me
Of just how beautiful you can be
I'm waiting for a feeling
That would make love open my eyes
Remind me I'm alive"
-Saying that everything he's experienced reminds him of how God works in mysterious ways but since this "thing" (maybe in the next vurse when he talks about Seattle?) happened, whatever it was, he needs to be reminded of God's plan and reassured that it will all work out (Remind me I'm alive)

"This Seattle life, it has changed me from the inside
Changed me from the inside
It has magnified my cries
For something more than fine"
- When he says Seattle, he's probably referring to this "thing" that happened, and it's "changed him
from the inside" and made him realize how much he longs for God's love (magnified my cries for something more than fine)

"Now we see that everything we have
And everything we lack
Is exactly what we need
Every single day
Everything we've made
Has put us in this place in just this way"
-Coming to the realization that no matter what you have/want/need, there's a reason behind it and that when you're in doubt God shows you there is a reason behind everything that happens.

Kind of confusing, but my mind was moving faster than my fingers.
