The meaning's pretty self-explainable. I think he's talking about finally meeting his ideal partner, and he's just so overwhelmed by them. But he's also aware that there's a chance that they might not work out so he's trying not to get his hopes up by just taking things as they come. It's a really amazing song, I'm sure so many people can relate to this, I know I can. |

Most of you got this totally wrong. I believe this song is about being obsessively in love with someone and feeling a withdraw from that person being gone. I can relate to this one. Someone asked about the 'Now I can breathe, turn my insides out and Smother me' line. It means that he doesn't want to be able to breathe, he wants her to turn him inside out and smother him by mauling him. I guess it's quite masochistic, but it makes sense to me. Hard to put it into words. |
