I just thought 'thinking about your little sister', was thinking about this character has to either kill or be killed.. (or else his little sister would grow up without her big brother) |

I always thought he was saying 'where we will rot' in stead of 'we will rock' which makes more sense to me with the whole idea maybe about people rotting and the idea of 'jesus' or whoever being this trash collector at the time of death, and all this stuff about exploiting people through their sex appeal or just their decomposed bodies into oil etc.
Love love open ended minimal lyric songs that really have no meaning other than just going nuts! |

ohhh my god.. right when everything comes together; beautiful.
The first time I heard it I completely didn't expect it and it totally made me throw my hands up and I just sat there alone in my room with my hands in the air and let it blare. (one of those moments you'd actually never confess in real life in front of someone.. hehe) |

I'm halfway through "To the Lighthouse" by Virginia Woolfe and Jasper and Lily are two characters in it. One of the great things about the book is the way it's in third person but really delves into what each one is privately thinking/doing..
I don't know just thought it was interesting.
Jack probably just found words that sounded cool for this song, and then at the end thought he'd throw on a little bit about Tesla/Edison to give it some coherence? |

References to Tipp city in Ohio? I'm from Cincinnati and dawn patrol and cottonhead might be references to local radio shows in the area. (That might be looking into it too much though...) |

GIT is the Guitar Institute of Technology. Cobain is mocking how they made schools for people to learn how to play guitar and 'express' themselves. Geeks with Charvels would be the dumb guitar wankers that you can still find on youtube who are obsessed with their gear and shredding to lame heavy metal songs.
Perry Ellis did something with women's fashion I think too.. Which would make sense with talking about silk and erecting a beautiful city (a funny male play on the rise of his success New York) and all that.. |
